Nothing about it is realistic—not the science nor the portrayal of people‘s reactions to pretty much anything that happens throughout the entire movie.

Watched the #FearStreet series recently. They were fun-ish. Although they relied on all the classic slasher / witch / psycho / teen movie tropes, it felt more like a horror adventure series. Not really scary, just gross and fun.

Put on 1999‘s horror/comedy #IdleHands last night. It wasn’t great.

They basically turned the scene from #EvilDead2 where Ash‘s hand gets possessed into a whole movie. The soundtrack had its moments: #Sublime #Rancid and #JessicaAlba was lovely.

Happened to catch a few minutes of #ShinGozilla as my son was watching it and was amazed to see him attacking my train station and trampling the place where my son plays soccer. So cool.

In #500Days, I turn 50. The past few years have been tough financially and then some.

I’m juggling 3 jobs + a bit of freelance on the side. Most days feel like drowning.

I have no real hope that the next 500 days’ll be any easier, but I’m gonna do my damnedest to make them count. #GetBusyLiving

Watched #Flow last night.
Good:
- zero dialogue
- leaves a lot to the imagination

Bad:
- washed out color in low res elements was distracting
- unrealistically clear water and behavior during flooding

Overall it was just OK.

I tried using #Glaze to prevent AI from scraping the soul out of my images. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work. So I’ll probably post more sketches and process drawings for now.

In this case, I’m working out just how rough I want these illustrations to be.
