When I lived in Muenster (one of the most bike-friendly cities in Europe) I biked across town to my office every day unless my bike had something wrong with it.

I moved back to Kitchener/Waterloo (Canada) in 2017 and have not gotten on a bike since.

Simple is the operative word here, both in its positive (easy) sense and negative (simplistic) sense. Applied incorrectly as advice, it's dismissive CBT BS. But just like other tools/approaches (I'm thinking of gratitude practices e.g.) it can develop into something useful over time.

TIL about Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome, severe bouts of vomiting, cramps and diarrhea which can affect people who use cannabis daily over longer periods of time. It seems to be related to THC. I can't/don't use cannabis so I'm safe.
