Would 100% have been tempted by this coming up. I went into teaching & found it wild that I was regularly trained in how to work with pupil premium/disadvantaged students by people who had no lived experience of childhood poverty. Surreal.

On World Embroidery day Iโ€™m reminded of the textiles and other items held in NT collections. One Iโ€™m always thinking about a c.1700s tea caddy. Veneered in embroidered birch bark it juxtaposes scenes of Indigenous/First Nations figures in the landscape with European settlers taking tea.
