#historians I have a set of daily diaries, c.1897-1951, starting in Brighton, England, but most from Vancouver. They are terse, but for anyone studying weather in the early 20C, they might be helpful. Also another set, almost the same, but from India during WWII- weather and sports on base.

What do we think- should they just make those bollarded off street ends officially parking and be done with it? There are always cars there. I’m much more concerned with the people parking on the pavements, which is constant on the Cowley road.

Completely missing the fact that most foreigners, legally or not, are not eligible for benefits. Until they get ILR or citizenship. So at what point do foreigners stop being foreigners?

I’m not sure a pie chart is really necessary in this situation, but I do enjoy that they used the right blue.

Third time in a week I’ve seen someone sitting in their car, fully parked on the pavement, in this particular block of Cowley. I keep reporting, but nobody seems to care.

I didn’t experience this during pregnancy (in Canada) but OMG did a lot of people swing by to check out my nethers in the 48 hours after delivery. I became quite desensitized to it, would have shown the janitors if they asked.
