So they did. And when I gave them to the black kids, I said. "Now look, the question they ask you is, 'Why don't you join a club?'" I said, "Put on there because I'm in school and I do not have time to attend clubs." I said, "That's all you put on there. Don't answer any more." So, they all put the same thing on there, because they were going to school. And they accepted them, of course. When I got ready to test them, naturally all the clubs said, "We can't test them, we don't test Negroes." I said, "In this Rulebook... it says Individual Members, and they are Individual Members so you have to test them." Oh, boy, they were mad."

U.S. Figure Skating can confirm that several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington DC. These athletes, coaches, and family members were returning home from the National Development Camp held in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas. We are devastated by this unspeakable tragedy and hold in the victims’ families closely in our hearts. We will continue to monitor the situation and will release more information as it becomes available.

Unfortunately, USFS has now confirmed that several skaters and their families were on board of the plane from Wichita to Washington DC, which tragically crashed last night.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this devastating loss.

Also reading lots of Wikipedia articles about not just the sport, but where competitions happened, as well as aspects of the history of it. Oh, and listening to the commentary during competition! Because what went wrong is just as important as what went right.

A day late, but my kind of question.

Oddly enough, half the answer is that I used five to six years of research I already did. Since it's sport oriented, there was lots of watching competitions. But also, reading technical handouts, communications of rule changes... 1/2

It really does. Nothing looks like it is actually there. I am blaming everything being white. Why? It's not even that it looks cheap, cause it does. It looks like they don't CARE. And if the people putting on the event don't care, why should anyone else? It's just sad.

I know times are tough, but between Prevagen, The James and AmLactin they couldn't come up with enough to add in some stands for bouquets? Couldn't turn the giant ugly lotion bottles INTO stands for flowers? Couldn't go onto fivr and find someone to design a better backdrop? Really? Anything?
