A major storm is bringing dangerous flooding and hurricane-force winds to Western Alaska The remnants of Typhoon Halong have already caused damaging flooding in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. The storm is expected to move north and continue into Monday.

At least 20 people are unaccounted for in Kwigillingok, in the Y-K Delta as of Sunday morning, and several homes were flooded and carried away by the remnants of Typhoon Halong - the worst storm on record.

My dog wearing my finally completed masterpiece, a gray knit hat using… I don’t even remember what kind of yarn. Probably a blend of natural and synthetic fibers. Knit in a round until I had to switch to double pointed needles. The bottom edge is rolled up since it’s a stockinette stitch, and the top comes to a point with one yarn dangling down the side like and old timey sleeping cap.

I just finished knitting this hat I started ~20 years ago, decreased until I couldn’t anymore and panicked a little, then just started binding off the last few stitches 😅

A photo I took on a Kenai Fjords cruise last week on my Fujifilm XT-5, transferred to my phone and lightly edited because I’m still remembering how to use manual settings on an SLR and the clouds are mega blown out. Specifically a cove on the mid south eastern side of Resurrection Bay, low hanging clouds clinging to the sunbathed mountains and glacier, and a patchy blue sky. The water is calm even as it is disturbed by the wake of the boat.

Had a creative burst for a minute but hit a wall when I looked at what I need to do to to transfer my Google domain that was migrated to Squarespace to Porkbun and the mental capacity just isn’t in my wheelhouse atm
