Primate was a lovely surprise. A lean, mean and delightfully gruesome creature feature. Incredible work by Millennium FX and Miguel Torres Umba's performance as Ben the chimp give the titular slasher proper physicality and real menace, with a chilling Carpenter throwback score and solid direction.

I got some in the winter Steam sale based on your recommendations, been looking for smaller, shorter games or run-based ones. I got Slay the Spire, Choo-Choo Charles and Corn Kidz 64. Haven't got round to the last two yet but I love Spire.

Hey folks, I'm gonna start a new recommendation thread, and because I very recently did a huge thread of 50 indie game recommendations, it might be a little shorter, and I'll be aiming for NO OVERLAPS! Are you ready?

1. Look Outside

I'll be brief. Just play this immediately, trust me.

It's absolutely worth replaying to see the different pathways through the story. The variety of endings runn the gamut between bittersweet, surreal, darkly funny, viscerally disturbing and deeply bleak.

I cannot wait to see what this developer does next.

The writing effectively conveys the protagonist's constant nagging paranoia that any time of any day, a random act of violence or horrifying transgression is only seconds away. This is compounded by the harshness of its presentation, with acidic colours, crunchy pixel art and unnerving sound design.

’Tired of Experts’ is an absurdist comedy about backstabbing in far-right UK politics, with a mischievous mean streak. With influences ranging from Death of Stalin to Freddy Got Fingered, you’re going to want to see this.

The fundraiser is going on until the end of Janurary, and again do prioritise you're own expenses + charitable causes (e.g. supporting the hunger striker), we get that especially during this time period finances can be very tight. Still any donations of sharing the fundraiser would help 💜

It's a mean and trashy comedy: think a combination of the aesthetics of Climax, with the writing of something like The Thick of It, and the absurdity of Freddy Got Fingered.
