I'm generally in favour of trigger warnings, particularly in academic/public places, and even so there's a big difference between "lack of warnings on a book or video" and "autoplaying the triggering content while someone is just browsing social media"

Also frankly this ones particularly upsetting on a personal trauma level as Ive had someone try to run me over to kill me, I dont need to watch videos of that to know its evil I narrowly avoided being the victim of it. Gun violence victims should be able to opt out of seeing things like this.

If you wanna get upset at me for saying "put a warning" I would remind its a thing I do for my own videos, and thats often just for discussing topics or if there are quotes from heinous people, so that people know what they are engaging with.

Same happened to me with Pretti's shooting. I trust the journalists and people who saw the video saying he was shot, I didnt need to see the shootings within literally less than a half second of scrolling to it. I cant imagine how it is for family members or friends who have to see it.

I hope the students ok and fuck that driver, I dont need to see it happen to know its fucked, you should have it up for documentation and for the type of person to deny it unless they see it happen, but a movie jumpscare of real world violence isnt that imo.

Maybe sharing videos of horrific violence with no warnings isnt really helpful. Theres a difference between documenting something and suddenly having a kid being run over by a trump supporter shown to you without warning on your fyp.

The world is a worse place without them. They were always looking out for everyone.

There arent enough words to express the immense kindness they had for everyone, the ways they helped and looked after communities. It feels devastatingly wrong that they are gone.

I met them when I first started organizing charity streams, they are one of my oldest friends. I am struggling to find the words.

Oddnon was one of the kindest, most community minded and most of all funny people I have ever met. They were a ray of sunshine in an all too often gloomy world, I hope they will be remembered as the wonderful person they were and that everyone in the community will continue the work they did.
