Recently someone told us that they no longer back Trump after his pope antics. Great- but what about the million other horrible acts he did?

The fact that despite trump’s ridiculous lies; his embrace of authoritarian traits and undermining of our democracy/ economy- he still has lots of backers tells me this country better start working together to fight or accept that our own apathy is being complicit to the demise of the country .

Do you all feel like we are in a weird holding pattern as democrats? Waiting for some of the Trump base to feel the impacts of tariffs ; his deep cuts to programs/ protections to impact them enough that they get angry?

Because of a merger deal that needs trump approval- cbs will likely settle with Trump over the 60 mins lawsuit with Trump. Wells Fargo gave millions to Trump’s inauguration and as a result - their massive sec fine went from several million to $150k! This is how democracy fails .

The fact that 94% republicans still back Trump showcases that this country has a serious cult problem because no other explanation can explain how Trump destroying our democratic institutions-undermining our constitution ; gutting vital rights and protections; safety net does not upset them!??

It’s been only a few months- and trump has already undermined long standing partnerships / alliances ; added massive inflationary pressures while dismantling democratic institutions and ideals- while defying courts and targeting critics: media; judiciary; universities and law firms. Fight back!

Since 1989 no republican has left an economy that was not in a hole. Zero! Every democrat meanwhile left a stronger economy. Fact. 97% of jobs came from democratic leaders - since 1989

Perspective - trump in less than 3 months spent $26 million on golf / vacations. Biden in 4 years btw $11-22 million.

Only countries to escape it seems are Russia - to be expected and North Korea which likely was an oversight as trump targeted even empty island nations.
