Well, it’s all one scene, but it’s been fun trying to find a way to describe how someone would be able to see out from the whole surface of a sphere all at once without hurting my brain too hard.

I sold a story.

After (how old am I?) two plus decades of trying, I finally sold a short story.

Chapter 14 for book two is done, coming in at just over 4900 words, which brings the sequel’s current total up to around 73,400 #booksky

I only wrote a little more than 6000 words over the last three days since my brain and body were fighting me on Sunday and Monday, but chapter 13 is done. Total word count as of now for book 2 is a clean 68,700, but that’s with the rest of the chapters’ basic structures and info included #booksky

My name is Tucker May. In April I married the love of my life, Barbara Marques. Right now I fear for her life. A week and a half ago she was taken by ICE at our properly scheduled green card meeting at the Federal Building downtown. At the end of what we were told was a successful meeting, the officer used the excuse of a broken copier to trick her into walking away from our lawyer. Once separated from her legal counsel, she was arrested. The reason for her detention was a missed court date from 2019 which my wife was never notified about.

We have been working with lawyers since that time to correct the situation. The Adelanto detention center has actively been keeping my wife from correspondence with her lawyer by delaying in giving her documents that were mailed to the facility. Last night, she was taken from the Adelanto facility to an undisclosed destination despite our lawyer having filed a temporary restraining order to stop this from happening. They could be sending her anywhere in the world and we have no way of knowing. I'm asking for help in bringing to the attention of media and authorities these multiple lapses in due process and proper procedure through the unwarranted deportation of a woman whose legal marriage has been duly recognized as legitimate by immigration through the 1130 petition process. Please, if you have any contacts who could help, send them this information.

My good friend Barbara has been disappeared by ICE. Looking for any contacts or resources to help find her.

Just finished chapter 12 for the end of the week. I wrote a bit less than 5000 words today and yesterday, so with the 3500ish that I got done on Monday and Tuesday, that brings it up to right under 8500 words in 4 days. Now that ain’t half bad #booksky

I can’t answer that without spoiling a good bit of the story, so I’ll just say that I enjoy creating new settings that differently wildly from what I’ve been working with before. For instance, a road of stones made from a god’s strings, with which they can “walk” around where a meeting takes place.

Got around 3500 words done yesterday and today, up to around a quarter of the way through chapter twelve now #booksky

Another 1200 words done and some more prep work to finish off the week, so that’s about 6200 in total like four days which isn’t too terrible

I’ve finished plotting out the rest of the story for book 2, and it’s sitting at another 51 chapters barring the epilogue and prologue, it’s gonna be another long one #booksky
