The harvest season ended sooner than we expected, sadly. Cold weather arrived early, and we had to pick our pumpkins before the frost. Before that, we also went mushroom foraging one last time and found an amazing surprise.

Warm weather has left our country, but the summer memories will stay 😊

Saying goodbye to summer 🥲

Late summer is one of our favourite times in the garden, with new fruits and veggies ripening all the time. Sometimes it’s so much that we have to get creative to preserve it for later. This time, we’re turning our harvest into homemade ketchup. Will it turn out well? youtu.be/L0VgJAwXrCo

It’s just a hobby. We eat everything we grow ourselves 😃 So fortunately we’re not dependent on the weather as much.

Last year we had one peach to harvest, this year we had dozens. It was such a great season! We still have a few left 🍑

The whole property is about 6000 m2. It’s a lot of work to maintain it 😃

Marigolds are so easy to grow and we really like them, so this year we added some more 🧡

We have a lot of chokeberries in our garden, which leaves plenty of room for experimenting. This time we decided to turn them into homemade fruit wine. From crushing the berries to watching the wild fermentation and tasting the young wine. Come take a look at all the science 😁 youtu.be/eBddhojaxDw

Good for you! We’ve had record amounts of fruit, but veggies haven’t been doing as well because the summer was colder than usual, so we won’t have for example as many pumpkins as we’d like.
