The framing of this story as "£148k tax bill" rather than "woman inherits a £1.2 million pound house and *only* has to pay 10% tax" is because the news media want people to be upset about tax, rather than upset at the rich paying very little of it.

I regularly get derailed when someone tries to benchmark clustering methods, trying the find the "best" one or the one that agrees with "ground truth".

I am definitely much better at dnf'ing books where I don't care where the story is going or for the characters but I still sometimes struggle to finish books where I do care and I do want to know

I know what you mean. I am just unable to read for more than 5-10 minutes at a time which means my reading has gone from a novel every 3days to a week to a novel a month or longer if I pick a dense one. These aren't bad or uninteresting books, just struggling to focus
