Going off wildly at a tangent here, I was reading how the Netherlands’ Labour and Green Parties contest all elections on the same ticket these days, as they’ve converged and want to avoid vote splitting.

(The Dutch Labour and Greens are much more similar than the UK counterparts are, admittedly.)

See, with those ‘reforms’ I wouldn’t have gotten any support at school. And I missed a year and a half of secondary school as it was, due ongoing problems getting accepted anywhere as a statemented kid. Doubt things are much better now for today’s youngsters.

It’s the volume of the news that does it. It’s constant. And I don’t want to see that orange man’s face or voice if I can avoid it. I want that sort of misery out of my leisure space, really. Prefer the olden days when you had to switch on a TV/radio/teletext or pick up a newspaper to get the news.
