This one was made in stable Diffusion and edited in photoshop. I painted on top and copy pasted areas to keep it as symmetrical as I could. Then animated in Grok.

Yes. I studied Rome and Greek Art and culture in college. Beards were there just not common. A lot had to do with associating them with foreigners, cleanliness and cleanshaven being sophisticated.

Yeah I thought that's what you would say. Facial hair of any kind that isn't a full beard or just a mustache turns into a full normal beard with these ai. The still image I painted the gladiator guy with no upper lip facial hair animated into a full beard. And a few tries the other did too.

Yes Romans had several periods where beards were looked down upon. Mainly to distance themselves from Greeks. But beards went in and out of fashion. Definitely not with senators though. I like beards so I add them.

Yeah I've noticed that as well. Your drawings tend to have heavy stubble. I bet that confuses the ai. If you were to modify your drawing to not have heavy stubble I bet the beards would go away.

Animated in Veo. Veo takes way more liberties and has way better voice. But I think I prefer grok. It gave the senator a kippah and a staff which isn't in the painting. I don't mind it but I doubt Romans would allow that. Works for me though. ;)

This one was animated in Grok. The image itself isn't complete yet. It's a combo of hand painting, 3d modeling and Stable Diffusion. This one will be epic when done but I took a break. Gotta get back to it.

More animation tests with Grok. This one grok had a real hard time with. If I tried to have it do more the characters morphed into not looking the same. Also the background characters morph. Keeping it simple was the only way to keep it consistent.
