Summary of the fic Static: Jungkook looked down at his name tag, he had pinned it a little askew when he got ready for his shift. The summary and name of my upcoming fic Underneath The Surface “Time is a strange thing, but I feel like I’ve been waiting for you.” “What does that even mean?” Jeongguk shrugged, one corner of his lips rising higher. “It means a lot.” Jimin breathed out. “Really?” Jeongguk nodded, his eyes flitting from Jimin’s eyes, back to his lips. “Really.” “You just kissed me.” “Because you’re the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen.” Jimin fought a full body shiver, in somewhat half success, leaving him squirming just a little. “Right back at you.” OR, Jimin lives a quiet life in a small seaside town, navigating being a parent to a little girl and a co-business owner of a cafe. His life is already full and big changes are ahead, but of course that is the moment when a handsome stranger steps into the cafe, eyes only for Jimin, ending up testing everything Jimin knew about the world.

I wanted to post a teaser this weekend, so how about the name and the summary of the new fic and me telling I’ll post the first chapter next Wednesday (on the 15th)🤭

Hopefully you’ll come along for this journey, it’ll be 10 chapters, posted weekly (though 2nd one might come sooner)

A snippet from my current wip: “So what is here exactly?” Jimin asked once they got out of the car and closed the doors. He walked up to the railing and leaned against it, taking a better look. He felt Jeongguk’s warmth behind him when Jeongguk brought his hands on both sides of Jimin, grabbing the railing and caging him. “One of my favourite places,” Jeongguk whispered into Jimin’s ear. It made Jimin close his eyes, his body reacting with a shiver. But as fast as Jeongguk had come closer, he was gone again. This time moving to the side and hoisting himself over the railing before Jimin even realised what was happening. “Wait, there’s — “ And then Jeongguk jumped, landing the two metre drop smoothly in a squat. He made it look so easy. Almost too easy. “ — stairs over there.” Jimin hovered his finger in the air, stupidly pointing at the steps on the left side while staring at Jeongguk down on the rocky beach, grinning up at him. “Come on.” Jeongguk reached his hands up, beckoning with his fingers. Jimin widened his eyes. “What? You want me to jump too?” Jeongguk nodded, his smile growing. “It’s not that bad, I’ll catch you.” “You have to be kidding me,” Jimin said, a little wild. “Nope. This is the fastest way.” “The stairs are literally a few metres away from me. I could’ve already come down to meet you.”

The snippet from the first picture continues: “Come on, I know you want to.” “I — “ And the truth was, Jimin did want to. It felt exciting, slightly dangerous. Like Jeongguk himself, if Jimin really thought about it. “Jeon Jeongguk, if I sprain my ankle or if I break any bones — “ “You won’t. Trust me.” “You’re not that much bigger than me.” But Jimin was already lifting his leg over the railing, his knuckles white from how hard he was holding onto the metal. “But I’m strong.” Jeongguk flexed his arms, his muscles stretching the fabric of his shirt. ”Oh shit,” Jimin breathed. He began slowly turning around on the small ledge, an undignified sound leaving his mouth, still tightly holding on to the railing behind him. ”Am I really doing this?” he muttered to himself. ”I guess I am really doing this. What the fuck.” The drop looked probably bigger than it really was, though the rocky shore didn’t exactly inspire Jimin’s adventurous spirit to jump on it. But as terrifying as it felt, Jeongguk was waiting for him with open arms. So he took a deep breath and nearly let go, only to back out. “Are you sure you’re going to catch me?” “Yes!” Jeongguk laughed. Jimin took another deep breath. “Okay.” And jumped.
