with my sorrow

I ponder
on the conundrum
of ourselves

of how the world
is somewhat a Pandora’s box
no simple answers
no easy fix

on the paradox
of it all

I ponder
on our complexities
our complications
our conflicts

and now,
our grave reckoning

she grew up
in primeval lagoons
of speech
immersed
in untamed words

overflowing with latitude
she played the unsayable

then came the purists
measuring the immeasurable
laying down #rules
on her tongue

rigid rhythms
crept into the flow
where once
were only currents

So, for the 2nd winter in a row, our snow level in Futaleufú, Chile is way below normal. One of my favorite things about winter in Patagonia are the seasonal waterfalls, created by heavy rains & deep snows. Usually these waterfalls are all around you—everywhere you look. Not this year. Reciprocity I tend my garden it grows. Like my appreciation cultivates it along with the rain, soil and sun. It knows what it needs but can’t tell except in signs I must learn to read. I can’t. It shows. Somehow it forgives as I forget untimely deaths and celebrate what still lives. So it goes… our dance of reciprocation of failing and learning of knowing of growing dedication. © Saraphir Camille Legind

Time Time expands when not pushed. Stretches synchronously with our need to not use it. No longer divided into hours or minutes chores or lists we can let it breathe rather than tether it to our agenda. Maybe time is not there to be used just as life is not there to be achieved. Both need to be lived thoroughly and followed into every corner and crevice every spiralling in and out every ascent and descent. This is the true meaning of ‘to be alive’ - to be with time.
