The wordle bot is a great example of something that can very easily suck the fun out of the actual game. Luck is a huge part of the game, and if you just open the same way every day, you’re sucking a lot of the fun and challenge out. The bot teaches monotony.

A local antique shop is liquidating its store after the owner passed away in 2019. This illustration from 1978 feels particularly relevant once again, unfortunately. But it's also a nice reminder that people have been ridiculing the KKK and Nazis for at least the past 50 years. it ain't new, folks!

I think a lot of it is domain-based. I can spot the videos and photos with pretty solid accuracy because I know the structure to look for and where it fails. But the writing it a bit harder for me because I’m less in tune with that world.

I’ve spent the last week in Orlando, FL and *every* service/gig worker I’ve interacted with has been an immigrant in some way. For a state hell-bent on pursuing every policy to literally sink it into the ocean, they really rely on those folks they say are “stealing our jobs and resources”

I love shooting film as much as the next person- okay, probably more- but I think photo books that are marketed based as “_____ on Film” is a little bit dumb. Don’t fetishize the medium, just use it!

The only real use for AI image generation is to sell a “vibe”, since the created image is total bullshit. On top of that, the vibes are mid, as the kids would say.

Season finale for last of us kinda fizzled imo. On the whole, this season kinda lacked the more tight punch of the first season :/

This is a great example of Apple's weirdness around producing their own shows. "Only Apple" would care about ensuring something like this is shot on an iPhone and the end result looks... kinda terrible? If you check the photographer's portfolio, it's definitely not a skill issue here.
