The problem is no one really knows what it means to do this. We haven't faced anything like this in our history and we legit don't know what it means practically to work together and fight it off.

More people need to understand that law is a useful shared hallucination, and if we don't have it we have to fall back on *being good and generous people* or *big enough to kill anyone who gets in the way* and no one wants to do as much work as both of those societies require.
