The new Steam Machine is nifty and would definitely be on my.list to oick up had I not sortednout anproper gaming PC last year which I'll be looging at upgraing the storage, graphics card and power supply of over 2026. It is always cool to have options.

I used to have the lovely portfolio of the concept paintings he did to help sell the movie to execs. It may still exist somewhre at my folks' house.

I loved this art back in the day and until now, didn't realise it was a McQuarrie, who's one of my favourite sci-fi artists.

The Nintendo exclusive musou games are always a blast, it would be an immediate pick up if I get a Switch 2, but can't justify a whole new system just for a couple of games (this and Metroid Prime 4)

Because of the UK's half-arsed onlne safety laws, I just had to add a credit card to my Steam account for age verification purposes. The account I've had since July 2004. The twenty-one year old account. *headdesk*

My main four buys before the end of the year and the tradition Steam Winter sale binge. Been over 25 years since I first played R-Type Delta, 21 years since my first Lumines game and about 15 years since I first played Sacred 2. YOu're making me feel old games industry. 🤪

I got my warm home discount, which is nice, frees up some money for the holidays. It went straight on my smart meter and the letter informing me I was getting it arrived six days later. 😁

Means there's some games I was holding off to end of December I can get end of November now, awesome.

I have unlocked some stuff in Ball X Pit which really changes up my options when playing (and I hear there's at least two more unlocks that will change things up once more) and it's another game I can just stick on and play even when feeling pretty fatigued.

I really appreciate that with the amount of XP you get just for casuallyplaying stuff, FOrtnite never feels like a grind, just a hop on, have some fun and always unlock something by the end of as session.

I have mostly been playing Absolum, Megabonk and especially Ball X Pit this week after the NMS expedition panic. All are excellent and highly recommended. ALso been doing the usual pinball and Vampire Survivors stuff and playing 30-60mins of Fortnite each evening.

This is just beautiful.

Predator Badlands was fantastic, continuing the run of three good Predator movies in a row. Elle Fanning is brilliant and it was surprisingly gory for a 12A certificate, but with it mostly being animals/creatures, I guess they can get away with more. More please!

FUN SCIENCE FACT: after five minutes of existing, a glass of piss cooling in front of an open fridge will have had a more positive influence on gaming than the industry’s entire executive class has had in two decades.

That feeling when you start the No Man's Sky expedition late because of other stuff getting in the way, thinking you've 5 or 6 days to get it done, then after starting getting the warning there's only 13 hours left of the expedition so you barrel through it in 7 hours.

I am going to bed now. 🤪

And they just announced a final release date, December 9th, so hopefully no further issues and I'll have my last physical Switch game soon.

Yep, Lego Rock Band, if nothing else for being able to have a band with a witch, Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolfman. Plus the special set pieces for tracks like Ghostbusters and Crash are some of the most girn inducing video game experiences of my life.
