... Some basic grounding in Hollow Knight and action platformers, because personally, I never faced issues with losing money due to not being able to recover them after death. The number of wishes and passive enemy deaths meant enough passive income to manage most benches and bell stations... 5/?

Do I think it's a game for everyone? No. In the same way I don't think Hollow Knight was for everyone. It's a 2D metroidvania with a focus on exploration, precision platforming, and punishing combat. I happen to like that kind of game. There will also be a very big difference people who have... 4/?

From a story perspective, it kind of reminded me of Nier Automata in some ways. The set pieces were impressive and gave me goosebumps when they came around, and the lore - and some of the reveals - feel rewarding by themselves without requiring a seven year project to parse them. 3/?

... 'Why was I having trouble with this?' a good amount for me, and there were very few bosses which felt extremely unfair... Maybe just the second savage beastfly for me - but it was still mainly a matter of learning the pattern, then remembering to be patient and not facetank through a boss. 2/?

So... I finished Silksong (mainly on the true 100% ending) after around 43 hours of in game time. On a personal note, I liked Hollow Knight and I like Silksong for some of the same reasons, plus having a much more coherent story and movement options. The boss fights tend towards the... 1/?
