however i do think NSO rewind with save states is huge value as far as ease of play goes, the trade off is dealing with the encounter rate and extra time doing enemy grinding sessions

it's old rpg grindy, there's no way around it. some people have high tolerance for this- i was okay because I had someone to play it with, but if you dont have it in you just play an emulated or cart version with the Easy Ring and follow the guide on earthbound.net the maps feel borderline necessary

Ok i beat it, this game is really so lovely and has some fantastic story beats i genuinely didn't see coming, and even knowing what the boss fight is, it still has all its emotional teeth. A beautiful sweet game
