ONL: C
Ashton Gillotte: B
Nohl Williams: B+
Jalen Royals: A
Jeffrey Bassa: B
Brashard Smith: A
Overall draft: B+
Left some meat in the bone on Day 2 a bit and didnβt love trading Chicagoβs 4th away.
However, the players are sick. Great draft.
if they don't draft a RB in this class I'm going to be livid
10.03.2025 23:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0can't believe the Chiefs lost their WR1 what is Veach doing
10.03.2025 21:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0still time to fix this but, a reminder, this is the Dline room right now

10.03.2025 20:44 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1Leremy Tunsil trade through the Chiefs' perspective: yeah, what Sam said.
KC's Jaylon Moore deal is NOT Dan Moore money, but if they were in on Ronnie Stanley, you'd think they would've called about Tunsil too.
(i don't hate this)
They need to attack iOL with the fury of 1000 Suns though.
right, so it's a $10m dead cap hit next year (or so)
wouldn't really describe that as easy to move on from
i just feel like either the Y1 cap hit is pretty big or next year's dead cap hit is like $10m.
Only way to get to "basically a 1 year deal" with this amount of guarantees is a big year one cap hit.
(back here again cause X: The Everything Site is down again)
10.03.2025 17:52 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Very curious how "basically a one year deal" this two year deal is.
I know that's the verbiage beign run with in reporting, but getting up to $20m guaranteed on a $30m deal usually leaves quite a lot dead money in year two, which the Chiefs try to avoid at all costs.
Dan Moore getting more than Ronnie Stanley shows the power of actually hitting the open market. If you can get a guy signed before the deadline, do it.
Retaining your own players is cheaper than shopping for new ones.

Twitter is completely down and the price of Tesla is in full collapse. It's a bad day for Elon.

dan moore jr got more money than ronnie stanley

10.03.2025 16:57 β π 533 π 201 π¬ 7 π 12I am commenting more on closing the door to it going forward cause they whiffed on developmental tackles on Day 2/3.
They literally haven't drafted a Tackle in the first round yet, lol.
The Chiefs going "we are never going to try and get LT in the draft" (per Nate Taylor) is an insane thought process. Completely unserious.
I hope it is just a 2025 draft thing and not a long term "never try and develop a LT again" thing.
66 or 95 are a RB. I'd lock it in stone.
10.03.2025 16:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What are the odds the Chiefs are in the exact same spot next year at LT even with Moore? 40%? Higher?
10.03.2025 16:43 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0if we are signing 49ers cast offs might as well bring back Charv Ward.
10.03.2025 16:38 β π 21 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0javon kinlaw got what now
10.03.2025 16:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0would have written this check myself. sigh.
10.03.2025 16:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0this one is a bit fun, I'd imagine the Chiefs still draft a RB if this is the only signing
10.03.2025 16:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0$20m APY for him was "driving up the price" and then they turned around and gave Jaylon Moore that? think they kinda screwed up that whole bidding war thing looking at that.
10.03.2025 16:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0i'll even follow this up and say I'd definitely still draft Conerly Jr, Simmons, or Jackson still unless the value was insane at another postion.
