So that’s the plan for the labor shortage after all the immigrants are deported.

I figure if I fake a positive mindset long enough to write I can live vicariously through my characters until the nightmare that is this current cycle of fear and intimidation is over.

And my loaf of bread will survive another day. 🍞

But the world keeps turning, so, I am choosing to stay GROUNDED, PRESENT, and POSITIVE and get back to the real work of telling Romance stories where love in all its forms wins.

Anyone else spiraling the past few weeks with the constant barrage of breaking news? It's turned my positive outlook into ragey at the smallest inconvenience. I guess if I can't lash out at those who are destroying the world, I can take it out on the loaf of bread that didn't slice properly. 😤

My grandmother spoke to countless schools and community groups about her experiences. She showed her tattoo, faded and blurry though it was, to anyone who asked. She did this up until her final couple of years. She passed away in 2018.

My grandmother spent her teen years in a work camp before she was liberated by my grandfather, a soldier in the Polish Army. They went through hell and back before finally being granted asylum in the US.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. I am the grand daughter of Holocaust survivors. My g-grandmother was a school teacher. My g- grandfather worked for the city. They didn’t survive.
