Is this number correct? There were 15 million overnight stays in Scotland in 2023. Even if that doubled, it would be somewhat like £460 per person per night just for the VAT component.

I am sure that if Anas Sarwar just popped Rachel a nice memo, she would be sending all that money directly back to Scotland.

Scottish Tourism is BOOMING.

2025 will be another record year, with VAT set to bring in over £14 billion, in Scotland alone.
