Policing requires trust, integrity, and accountability. Without meaningful reform, how can the public feel safe coming forward? How can communities rebuild confidence when those tasked with protecting us sometimes perpetuate harm themselves?

Once, I was a proud police champion and even aspired to join the force myself. But my own attempts to report stalking, harassment, and abuse revealed a darker reality. I experienced first-hand how some officers fail to uphold the oath they swore to protect the public.

What makes it more heart-breaking is that this behaviour is not confined to one station like Charing Cross – it is happening across the country.

Last night’s BBC Panorama – Undercover in the Police left me saddened, but not surprised.

Seeing uniformed police officers across different ranks displaying rudeness, racism, misogyny, and even violence was deeply troubling.

This is my wonderful friend Karen Henthorn who plays the mum of the girlfriend in 'The Girlfriend.' It's phenomenal and will have you on the edge of your seat and guessing the whole way though.
