People who attended when I attended may remember an anonymous article titled along the lines of “my rapist lives in first floor Perkins”. Perkins is the big main library that everybody studies at for context (7/?)

Before we changed it you only had two years to report a rape. So if someone had been assaulted their freshmen year and didnt have the ability to come forward until their junior year it would be too late. And they would have to see their rapist on campus every day. (6/?)

There was a large contingent of us who wanted to change the culture. I was on Duke Student Government when we finally got administration to remove the statute of limitations on reporting rapes (I think this happened in 2013 if memory serves me) (5/?)
