Think when we are defending we are doing ok, it’s transition/counter attacks that catch us out. We are not tracking runners from midfield in particular, most of the goals we’re conceding are from cut backs to midfielders running from deep. Thats got to be a coaching issue

But you seem to want a player who can be all of good in the air, strong holding the ball up and a great finisher. We ain’t got the money to buy one of them, and we certainly haven’t got the right recruitment team to find one cheap

Farke is changing his tactics from home to away but only in that he’s sitting deeper away, which is obviously not working. The worry is that he isn’t making changes to a failing system away. You’d think he’d at least try to play one game away like we do at home, pressing high up the pitch

Also the lack of midfield support up top meant the ability of the wide players to find a Leeds player in the box was massively affected. The system Farke is playing can only work if we are high up the pitch as a team. Something we are at home and not away!!

Blaming it all on a quality forward is missing the issue in my mind. Nmecha proved the point last week, the one good chance he put away, but he didn’t help us progress forward well, so we ended up struggling to get players forward. 1/2

You could also argue that the system we’ve been playing, especially away, just isn’t suited to a team that doesn’t have superior (or even equal) quality players.
