We are looking at a book illustration showing three ladies in medieval style costumes - one in blue, one in green and another in orange. One is holding a pair of large shears. In front of them is a cat (we assume) in a full suit of armour.
We are looking at a close up from a book illustration showing a cat in a full suit of armour.
We saw this book illustration and were taken with the ladies in medieval style costumes and thenβ¦
Is that a cat? In armour?
Dear Film Industry,
Wouldn't it be nice to have a film version of WUTHERING HEIGHTS that was:
1. Filmed in Yorkshire
2. With actors that one could plausibly believe to be from Yorkshire
3. Of the right age (teens and 20s)
4. Actually scripted by someone who has read the book ALL the way through?
Arsenal are the Gunners, so that's my guess.

22.01.2026 15:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A sepia image from the 1930s. A young couple standing next to a tandem in a grassy field. The woman has a fashionable bob haircut. The man is wearing a sun visor and is smoking a pipe. Both are wearing short sleeved tops and knee length shorts.
My grandparents owned a tandem. This is them in the 1930s on a bike ride to Lincolnshire, approx 40 miles (80 miles there and back) from their home in Yorkshire. I'm love the fact the Grandpa was obviously so confident in his cycling ability that he could smoke a pipe at the same time.

The Prime Minister has tried appeasing him for 12 months and has failed. It's time we finally stood up to him and united with our European allies to make him back down.
