A latte and a little packet of snacks.

Sometimes people are really sweet. I stopped for coffee on the way back and the barista was alone because everyone else called in sick and kept apologizing for taking so long and then thanked me for being chill by giving me a pack of her own snacks. I love when kindness is returned with kindness.

Gotta love waking up and making well intentioned but questionable decisions first thing in the morning. Like walking over 9km to breakfast despite it being pretty easily transit accessible and very easy to take my car too. At least it’s good exercise but now I’m tired and it’s not even 10am.

QMunity is an excellent organization and I’m so glad we keep bringing them back year over year to VF. I’ve personally used their services and everyone I interacted with was absolutely amazing. ❤️

The food is excellent too so honestly it’s well worth it!

See that’s just a recipe for turbo burnout. I mean I struggle with that sometimes too so I get it. But it’s not great.

When you go to work on convention stuff with your friend @shadowsmyst.bsky.social and end up discussing custom made leather gear and getting head scritches on the couch. This is the best way to do con work.

Had myself a delicious coffee and breakfast sandwich at Aggüdo Coffee Roasters in Sunnyside this morning on the recommendation of my favourite local cat @emkat.co Now I’m getting ready to go get my first tattoo!

I hope 2026 is better in some aspects and there’s a lot that I’m excited for like running my convention for its first year, being Community Spotlight at @vancoufur.bsky.social , and hopefully starting a Masters program. Here’s to the end of a mixed bag 2025 and a hope for an excellent 2026.

I’ve had some tough situations to navigate through, I’ve spent more money than I meant to, I’ve made friends and lost friends, I officially started a convention (which is both awesome and insane). 2025 is certainly a year I won’t forget.

I’ve fallen in love with some of the most fascinating people I’ve ever met, I’ve learned more about myself that I thought I’d ever know, I’ve tried and experienced things I never thought I’d do. I’ve also made so much more progress in my transition this year.
