Yeah I think Cadet in the ‘60s and then Blue Note in the early ‘70s before maybe Columbia or CBS after that?

16.02.2026 08:00 — 👍 41 🔁 14 💬 4 📌 4Just seen on the Acid Jazz Records Instagram that someone has nicked James Taylor’s tour van with his two Hammond C3 organs in (that he’s had since forming JTQ in the mid ‘80s) and I am absolutely raging on his behalf. Hoping the UK Hammond community will be able to find and return them pronto.

🙌🏻 Appreciate you giving them a listen! Must get Vol.3 recorded, tracklisting has been written up in a notebook for nearly 10 yrs, about standard gestation for one of my ideas, so it’s probably ready by now :)

A hand painted valentine featuring two red hearts surrounded by blue bows with the words will my heart ever come up to yours my Valentine
Swirling hand painted text in red and blue that reads to mr Adamson with valentine greeting from the Netherne noodles
A Valentine created by an individual whose identity is currently unknown to us, who was compelled to live at Netherne Hospital c.midC20th.
This was made for art therapist Edward Adamson & is signed “the Netherne noodles” presumably a nickname for one of the groups who attended the art therapy studio
Just saw the news on Instagram, very sad to hear this - as you say, a pioneer and hugely influential in the UK.
Condolences to Simon’s family & friends.

14.02.2026 12:32 — 👍 8 🔁 3 💬 1 📌 0Yep isn’t it just - all three are brilliant - I had them on CD first but they got nicked with my whole CD collection late 90s, so I re-bought them on vinyl when simply vinyl did the reissues, and then I’ve found the original Polydor LPs since too. Should probably get the cassettes for the full set.

Yes I’ve loved that Hank cut since I heard it at some rare groove night in a soho basement in the early 90s and pestered the DJ to find out what it was 😍

I haven’t even bothered to look at the list for about 10 yrs. I work on the basis that there’ll probably be a few things in the bargain bin that I fancy from previous years when I eventually get into a record shop. But it’s weird that even the majors haven’t bothered with a cash-in cassette or two.

The Pianet T is wonderful, and even more lovely with the custom stand (which I covet greatly)
Very gig-able, being the size of a guitar case, if slightly* heavier. Passive electronics, sound ace thru pedals & a nice amp
*they are a lot heavier, but I got mine home on the train the day I bought it.
Close! The Olympians are from Brooklyn (and have a new album out today!) and there’s a London based Olympians too - BUT, Olympic Cyclone Band is me & @titeknots.bsky.social, so that’s probably what you’re thinking of? olympiccycloneband.bandcamp.com/album/breakb...
