30.12.2025 22:51 β π 6 π 7 π¬ 1 π 1I particularly enjoyed two recent pieces from Andrew Rabin, one on legal networks in Gathagan/Insley, Gender, Memory, and Documentary Cultures, and another about ΓthelflΓ¦d in the edited volume on ΓthelflΓ¦d by Rebecca Hardie

With the support of @hisjournalha.bsky.social, I recently revisited the charters featuring these otherwise elusive women. For a few initial thoughts see my blog-post:

06.08.2025 16:07 β π 22 π 8 π¬ 1 π 0Fresh on early view: @eddiemeehan99.bsky.social on how Pippin I of Aquitaine (d. 838) balanced kingship "as an office and as a dynastic status".

17.05.2025 10:54 β π 32 π 10 π¬ 3 π 2Today is the 1,137th anniversary of Arnulf's first charter, so naturally I took the opportunity to write a post about it and how we interpret this moment where the political order seemed to collapse into something new. #medievalsky
