Maybe that's a regional thing. My favourite statistic to come out of where I grew up (Merseyside) is that during the Scottish independence referendum, independence often polled higher in Liverpool than it did in large parts of Scotland, mostly because of the dream that they'd take us with them.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with @gibiz.bsky.social on behalf of @gameworkers.co.uk to talk a bit about how things are going for the union, how the industry has responded to our growth, and what our expectations for the future are.

When Paizo unionized, I got a raise amounting to thousands of dollars. I also get a higher cost of living salary increase every year in addition to my seniority salary increase. I have incredible job security. I have advocates if I have grievances. Unionizing is hard and scary but so worth it.

And I get why other trans people are upset about the figureheads of the fledgling party being cagey about trans rights. I'm not too concerned because they've made it clear that they aren't committing to specific policies beyond a general push for pro-social justice attitudes without democratic input

Also, this is such a strong rebuttal of the "we can push them left" argument we've been hearing since Bernie lost the primary in 2016. I really hope people stop entertaining the idea that that was ever a real possibility.

This is a really encouraging piece imo, I continue to be incredibly excited to see how this party develops. I'm glad that Sultana seems to understand that Corbyn gave us a great model on which to build off of, but that his leadership of Labour was still deeply flawed.
