the attacker was evil for attacking Jewish people simply for being Jewish, and (likely) for blaming Jewish people collectively for the actions of the Israeli state, so the very last thing politicians should be doing is implying there is a meaningful connection between the victims and those actions

does no-one stop to think how insane it is to suggest it’s dishonourable to the memory of two murder victims to protest the blockade of relief for a man-made famine

in the UK our system for telling a subset of kids from a very young age that they’re special and better than everyone else is private schooling, and they never develop a complex about it because they don’t stop getting treated like that when they become adults
