Astronauts and Olympic athletes have to also talk about what comes after the big thing they’re training for. You are also that great, what we are doing is also that hard. Remember what comes after.

I dedicate 70% energy in the normal I want to live in, and 30% to getting to that normal if we’re not there yet. Your mix will be different. Be intentional.

For those struggling to do day to day tasks in the face of all this : we have to have a normal to return to when we’re through all this. It’s valuable work to establish and maintain that baseline.

Josh Ritter song came on, had words about trying hard not to love someone. Locke asked why you wouldn’t want to love someone. So I talked to him about how some people aren’t safe to love, and how is our responsibility to be safe in our love. #parenting

I started talking to a bunch of folks I care about while I wasn’t working, and now I’m working again and everyone still wants to talk. 😭
