Purposely growing my hair out so I can confuse even more ppl over my gender.

It's really upsetting to see her go form joyous and free through her love of Carol and then having it all crash down once she started experiencing the obstacles of being able to keep that love.

I'm seriously gonna write a whole damn paper on Therese, she's so interesting especially from the perspective of someone who lived through a particular time where the idea of living openly as queer was basically impossible but also struggling to understand the taboo of it all.

Like Therese says at the end, it will be different because they are now different people but she's hopeful; not resenting or hating the changes now.

Therese at the start is 19, she's been in this sort of lethargic state for the better part of her whole life and it's through meeting Carol and experiencing this whirlwind romance and heartbreak and having to figure out what SHE wants that she is decides to be with Carol again.

While I do love the movie, and changing it to Carol does fit; I think if they tried harder to show Therese's mindset a bit even if it would be difficult would have been beneficial. Because ultimately, this story is Therese's, it's her journey.

Carol raised her hand slowly and brushed her hair back, once on either side, and Therese smiled because the gesture was Carol, and it was Carol she loves and would always love. Oh, in a different way now, because she was a different person, and it was like meeting Carol all over again, but it was still Carol and no one else. It would be Carol, in a thousand cities, a thousand houses, in foreign lands where they would go together, in heaven and in hell. Therese waited. Then as she was about to go to her, Carol saw her, seemed to stare at her incredulously a moment while Therese watched the slow smile growing, before her arm lifted suddenly, her hand waved a quick, eager greeting that Therese had never seen before. Therese walked towards her.

I finished The Price of Salt, I loved it, no notes.

Everyone has their own tastes but I do find it incredibly hilarious to play a game about the greek gods and try to find the most healthiest relationship and decrying the "toxic" ones.

The closer I get to finishing The Price of Salt, the sadder I get because it's such a fascinating book. Therese has become on of my favorite characters, truly.
