One day last week, I started by reviewing what I'd written, going back a few chapters. Tweaked things here and there. Then, before I could write anything new, I was interrupted because… life.

Net word count was ZERO. I couldn't have done that if I'd tried.

Heads up and a question for my #IndieAuthor buddies who use Pinterest: Pinterest is labeling images as AI Modified. It has flagged my professionally designed book cover from Aug '22. (ChatGPT came out in Nov '22.)

Is it picking up on tools used in Photoshop, etc. and calling them AI?

I checked off several maintenance items on my to-do list today. Nothing minor, but things that I'd been putting off. Mostly around updating links to my books.

Some good news! A federal judge struck down Florida's book ban law (HB 1069) as unconstitutional, ruling it violated First Amendment protections for school libraries. The victory protects authors' rights and students' access to diverse literature.
