I got paid Friday and bought a bit more than normal ($10 worth but there was pasta, rice, beans, veg). Shelf stable food. I added it to stuff that was there.

I had asked my apt Mgr if she knew of anyone getting SNAP, or worked for the govt. She had no idea. I suggested a food drive.

In my apt complex office, there are now shelves, and there are canned good on some of them.

My roommate n I take our stuff n trade it at a local exchange place. Ya get store credit, then get gift for other person.
We start in June. We only get up to 10 gifts each then stop.

Also, our library has books, dvds and cds on sale for a buck, so those are good too.

We don't even go out that Fri.

Box of pasta, cook.
Don't drain off water.
Add can of cream of whatever soup (i had cream/chikn).
Add spices.
Stir to keep from burning
Add a meat ( I had tuna)
Keep stirring.

Cheap, fast, and most important if single..leftovers.
