Very little feels fulfilling, and I know part of it is SAD, which tends to hit me during the winter. The huge storm and snow pile up has also kept me even more cooped up and alone than usual. I have downward swings like this from time to time regardless though, so I'm going to try to ride it out!

I definitely feel like solitude is at least teaching me something. It'll make finding my people mean more, and, when I start the journey, it'll mean I really really want it.

I need to be more present where I am in the moment I'm in right then and there. My mind drifts so much and so easily, sometimes ruminating on problems from the past and sometimes just drifting along. This is not a Fast and Furious movie. Drifting is not helpful.

For all my disappointment with some of the people in my life, I also know I that I have my own flaws. I've worked on them a lot, but they wouldn't be flaws, if it wasn't a struggle to do better. So, here's to a year of challenging myself to do better without being too hard on myself.

I gotta put my energy elsewhere.

I still grapple with hurt when people I love stop talking to me and insist they never have time, especially when they know that I'm really alone. It's fair that you spend time with who you want to spend time with, but I care about a lot of people who can't even spare me a kind word twice a year.

And, when I find my community, the people who really like me and want to game with me and write with me and all that, I know I'll feel even more fulfilled.
