both of my mountain bikes are out of commission at the same time and I’m losing my fucking mind.

my husband backed the car - with our bikes on the rack - into a parked truck. Cracked the carbon frame on my e-bike. I’m not pleased about this at all… so I bought myself a really nice wireless upgrade kit for my pedal bike. Which he can pay me for because I’m mad. 😂

yesterday a coworker asked to take some time in his afternoons to go biking and my boss was like, “you don’t have to ask permission, just block your calendar & let people know where you are, we encourage people to do what they need to do.” and again I am grateful I found this company.

it’s cute that HR has repeatedly reminded us that Monday is a holiday. As IF I’d forget such an incredible gift as a free day off work…. been looking forward to it all month now.

omg I got 3rd place tonight and 3rd place in the race series. 🥉
It was 90 degrees and so hot. That race was so hard and the stakes were high. I am so tired, but I did it.

I guess it’s part of racing, securing your finish but ugh I wanted a break today, an easy race at my pace. My fault for skipping race #3. If I hadn’t done that, I would have had my 3rd place ranking in the bag and today wouldn’t matter.

ahhh I wished the woman trailing me by 1 point would not race today so I could secure my 3rd place series podium spot without worrying about where I finish. It’s 90 degrees today and she’s just signed up so now I have to fight for my spot.
