I really struggle with any art that cares so deeply about how it makes the artist comes across. There’s a bleeding self consciousness in nearly all of his movies that’s so repulsive to me. If it’s not “cool” or “jacked” it’s essentially meaningless. Jackie Brown and inglorious bastards are flukes

Its kinda poetic Tarantino has fallen out of style after taking too long for his “final” movie and a lot of it has to do with the fact that nobody thinks his Gen-X cool guy shtick is even remotely attractive or interesting. That and living in the country of rape and torture.
