I actually have a name in mind but I wouldn’t trust my memory that I’m not eliding different uncomfortable RCHA talks to say it publicly. The person I’m thinking of did extraordinarily well for themselves and suffered no ill effects for this youthful misstatement.

My class this semester is 100% old school. No computers. No PowerPoint. No take-home assignments. In-class writing responses to readings. Bluebooks exams. Lectures with a whiteboard.

Folks are very glib online about calling for escalations of violence. What ICE is doing is unconscionable. A descent into mass violence that killed 10k, 100k, or more would be worse. We are not immune to societal breakdown. More violence is not the answer. Civil disobedience. Protest. No violence.

Serious question: what does that look like to you? Running gun battles between National Guard and ICE agents?
