Mud, puddles, to start the Baby Backyard. Thunderstorm dropped 1.5" before the start. Made it 5 laps before another storm moved in. Gave up, went home & finished my run there after the rain.

Air quality here is deemed unhealthy for everyone due to Canadian wildfires.
Had 3 hours, wasn't sure how long I would go. Kept the pace slow with short walk and breathing breaks.
Ended at 13 miles in 3 hours. Good enough.

Happiness today because we need some.

8 humid miles in dead calm this morning.
Stopped in my tracks when a skunk ran out of the tall grass & stared at me as if to say don't come near me.
No problem. Also no photo.
Running through the sprinklers was nice though.

A 14.5 mile adventure this morning in the humid sunshine. Tried to find as much dirt and grass as I could.
Bugs are really bad at my usual place, so other options were explored.
Ran with friends to work on race strategy.

Mosquitos attacked if you slowed down or stopped moving.
Turkeys lurked, fields of Black-eyed Susans brightened gloom.
