It’s so important that we show up for each other, meet people where they are, and listen. And one of my takeaways from the 2024 election is how many Michiganders — from Houghton to Hillsdale to Grand Rapids to Detroit — want their voices heard.

This is your reminder to get a library card. They have so many services and basically all of them are free.

I know folks are hurting.

But I also know something else to be true: that this community is tough, and while tough times don’t last, tough people do.

I want to thank this community for giving a formerly homeless kid the honor to represent you in the State Assembly.
