Even the ending we just got, it just kinda "ends".

That's what it felt like to me. It was just going through the motions. I got the impression it had no real narrative reason to keep going but Sakuragi Ren just couldn't come up with a decent stopping point.

Yeah her art is sublime no questions there.

One is bad enough, they both lower a series. But having both was just blehhhh.

I think that was the main issues. The B couples were *not* strong enough to carry their own chapters and they became a lot of what it was about for a big stretch. Plus having student x teacher quickly followed by the "rival" trope was just exhausting.

Really disappointing. Could have been up there with the best fluff series.

If I had to make a guess, it got extended beyond what was intended. It's nine volumes total and with at least the last three of them felt like it was running on fumes.

Anemone was kinda disappointing in the end ngl. Started out as this impossibly sugary fluff series then decided to pile on as many annoying genre cliches as possible towards the end.

By the last chapter I was just kinda glad to see it finish.
