It has not taken long for Donald Trump to convince me of what I feared. He is the worst, most devisive, most destructive and incompetent President in our history. Unfortunately, the co-equal legislative branch is sitting on its hands not helping.

We just traveled 1000 miles on I-80. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill that many Republicans voted against is at work making that road better for the future and putting many Americans to work. Thank you Joe Biden! Your accomplishment will last for a long time.

It’s already in danger Norm. Your efforts are appreciated.

The President’s racist, vile AI post tonight raises serious questions about his mental condition. Will his family, the Cabinet and Republican Senators please consider a personal intervention and whether the 25th Amendment should be considered.

Men in plain clothes, no identifying items, saying they were federal agents but showing no identification, seized a man and drove away in an unmarked car yesterday in Iowa City. This occurred in mid-morning in a business
where the man worked. This is a very dangerous approach. Fix it Congress!

I understand that Trump alleged Lisa Cook committed fraud by claiming 2 homes were her residence. How does that compare to the fact he is living at Mar-a-Largo when he agreed it would not be used for a residence? Sounds like fraud to me.

So Dr. Trump and Dr. Kennedy are telling women how to handle their pregnancies! Maybe they slept in a Holiday Inn last night. I’m sure those women will continue to get advice from their real doctors.

Finally, a small glimpse of concern over RFKJr. From a Republican. Sen Cassidy knew better when he voted to confirm but he caved to Trump. RFKJr would not be HHS Scty but for Sen Cassidy’s yes vote. Let’s see if he has the courage to do something about his mistake:

Addressing today’s tragedy, Speaker Johnson, quite rightly, urged us to respect one another. I hope he’ll take that message to the President who almost daily insults or vilifies someone.

Today Ashley Hinson announced she was running for the US Senate to be Trump’s strongest ally. That is exactly why Iowans should elect a Democrat! The Republican Senate has been quite clear that it won’t do its job. We don’t need more of that.

And now the Court of Appeals tells him the tariffs are illegal.

Finally someone tells Trump (The Court of Intl Trade) that his tariffs are illegal. Most lawyers, and most Republican Senators knew that—though the latter were too wimpy to say so publicly.

Is there a single Republican Senator who voted to confirm RFK Jr with buyer’s remorse. So far there is only crickets. They are all complicit in the degradation of our country’s health! We are headed for disaster unless Congress intervenes soon.

I’m puzzled. I recall JD Vance proclaiming repeatedly, and loudly, that America would never be a socialist country. Now his administration is pursuing a policy which acquires part ownership of private business. Isn’t government ownership of business a socialist country thing?

Texas, California and likely other states. Sad to see. Another Donald Trump inspired degradation of the United States. But the blame starts with the Supreme Court which declined to stop gerrymandering. The Court, in effect, said it’s OK to draw districts which deny fairness to minorities! Also sad.

So Donald Trump describes himself as a war hero. Give me a break! Mr. Bone spurs doesn’t belong in any conversation about war hero’s.

Donald Trump seems to want his own version of history. Given his repeated “land swap” rhetoric, he is not a student of the 1938 disaster of giving Hitler the Sudetenland. Let’s hope Europe can explain that to him.

The International Criminal Court has an active arrest warrant for Putin. It arises out of his kidnapping children from Ukraine and they are still held in Russia. The United States does not recognize ICC jurisdiction so, sadly, Alaska will be a safe haven for his war crimes!

The president made a huge mistake in sending Guardsmen to do police work. Police officers go through substantial and lengthy training in order to enforce the law fairly and safely. The Nat’l Guard has very different training. The fact is that both the public and Guardsmen are endangered by Trump.

It was apparent when Trump nominated him that Billy Long had no bona fides which would qualify him to lead the IRS. The Republican Senate confirmed him anyway. Are they ever going to use their own analysis when Trump keeps appointing unqualified people?

Donald Trump keeps saying, incorrectly, that $ is pouring in from others countries. The fact is that American importers, businesses & consumers are paying the tariffs. Trump promised lower prices. He has raised them instead. Did he lie or is he dumb?

I believe that public attorneys have a duty to the people. I was a prosecutor who pursued the goal of justice. It now pains me to see that Pam Bondi’s Justice Dept. has become a political tool of the President. Disappointing beyond measure!

My White Sox have now exceeded their win total last year. 42 and counting! We’re on our way. 😎

Trump didn’t like the score so he fired the scorekeeper! Perhaps he should rethink his game plan.

The EPA wants to repeal greenhouse gas emission regulations. Are they oblivious to the spate of floods, rain and heat. The result will be yet more deaths. The “P” means protection—not destruction. Congress—do something!

The Republican Senate once again showed us that it’s more afraid of Donald Trump than interested in doing the right thing. Emil Bove should be nowhere near a seat on the Court of Appeals!

So Trump’s DOJ is trying to contact Ghislaine Maxwell. Do you think there might be a pardon or commutation available if she swears he had no part in crime? DJT is not above that deal—whether true or not.
