We need trial lawyers on the bench.

So, I started my career as a prosecutor and made friends with my coworkers as many do. As of now, at least 6 sitting judges in my jurisdiction who I have been friends with before they took the bench. I think they can be fair and impartial, because they are aware of their potential biases.
