So here's the thing: no it's not. Our position is that DEI is something we need to keep, not abolish. We have to abolish the Electoral College. If this is some kind of Jedi Mind Trickℒ️ to get MAGA people to abolish it though, I won't be losing any sleep over it.

This πŸ‘†

The Electoral College isn't "DEI for red states", and unlike actual DEI policies it should actually be abolished.

One person, one vote. Get rid of Electoral College.
Get rid of gerrymandering. Use a mathematical grid.
Get rid of the disproportionate Senate (why should the same number of Senators represent California and Wyoming).
Get rid of the corrupt Supreme Court justices.
Put term&age limits on everyone.

The terrible CR Budget bill β€” written by right-wing House Republicans with no input from anybody but themselves β€” was passed tonight with the support of 10 Democrats.
Β
An absolute failure of Democratic leadership. NOBODY in the Senate should have voted for this dangerous bill.

Breaking β€” 10 Senate Democrats voted with Republicans to advance their funding bill, including:
Catherine Cortez Masto
Dick Durbin
John Fetterman
Kirsten Gillibrand
Maggie Hassan
Angus King
Gary Peters
Brian Schatz
Chuck Schumer
Jeanne Shaheen

Hey Texas lawmakers: You don't get to make being trans illegal.

Fuck you πŸ–•

"Gender identity fraud" my ass.

It was never about the kids. I know you never believed the lie that trans people were groomers. You just wanted a scapegoat.

Shove your bullshit back up your ass.

My two cents: we don’t abandon the Democratic Party. We remake it. It’s a good party. It just has bad leadership.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to β€œthe left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

When AOC and Adam Kinzinger are both furious at Chuck Schumer, for the exact same reason, maybe you need to give up the idea this is just a backlash coming from far left activists.

Let’s face it, Schumer has been terrible even before this. It is time for new leadership. He isn’t the person for this moment in history, and the longer he clings to power the worse off we all are.

Tell your reps to vote NO on cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill.

EPA is terminating more than two dozen protections against air and water pollution. It would overturn limits on soot from smokestacks that have been linked to respiratory problems in humans and premature deaths as well as restrictions on emissions of mercury, a neurotoxin.

As one of your constituents, I'm asking you to vote NO on cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill.

This is the "lesser of two evils" position - vote NO and they'll shut it down temporarily, don't vote NO and they'll shut it down permanently.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

Once these Let Billions Suffer voters see how gruesome letting billions suffer gets they will surely come crawling back to the Let Millions Suffer party and we’ll finally be able to win elections without catering to those troublesome Nobody Should Suffer radicals

Yo @durbin.senate.gov, no one is picking up your Senate phone and you don’t even have a voicemail. Vote no on cloture and the spending bill or I will do whatever it takes to make sure the next Senator from Illinois has basic constituent services set up during business hours.

Trump doesn’t want β€˜to hurt Ireland’ β€” but he might Ireland’s visiting prime minister endures an excruciating 45 minutes in Trump’s live-TV star chamber as the U.S. leader swings at Brussels, not Dublin.

His entire psyche revolves around being a lifelong abuser. And like any abuser, he uses the language of abuse instinctively and perpetually.
