Out selecting blooms for my winter arrangement and picking raspberries at 6:30 this morning with frozen fingertips😱

Here I southern Maine I’ve gotten used to surviving the frost until late October the last few years. Caught off guard now.

Just realized that I need to find time to pick my remaining raspberries also😱

Looks like my growing season comes to an end tomorrow night😞

Need to harvest all my peppers and select some healthy blooms for my winter dry flower arrangement.

That’s a good idea! I just started studying and have the exam scheduled for late Nov. The amount of material for the NCMHCE is overwhelming. At my age, I figure I should be grandfathered from taking it! 🤣

Yeah, the micro climates in the yard are weird on those borderline frost nights. I’ll sometimes cover up plants with a sheet if it’s just a light frost.

It was 58 degrees in the house this morning, but we managed to just barely avoid a frost and continue the growing season for a while longer.

Congratulations! I need to take my second exam to become a fully licensed counselor and I’m not looking forward to it.

I luckily escaped the frost.

This day was a good day for butterflies☺️

I kind of like picking away at the firewood stacking in the evening. It gives me a chance to check out some beautiful sunsets and moon rises.

It’s also spreads like crazy and is a pain in the neck to get rid of, so I’m glad this isn’t on my property 😂
