Oh it’s absolutely still making up for Prohibition. People in this country don’t like being told what to do, unless they’re the ones doing the telling.

Since my dad was an alcoholic for years, having a dry wedding was an absolute must. People knew there wouldn’t be alcohol, and had to accept it.

Our wedding was dry, save for a bottle or two of champagne for the toasts. Thankfully our friends/family were okay with that, but a lot of people we told about it were not. The alcohol culture in the US is completely unhinged and has been pretty much forever.

After several months of testing I walked away with my ADHD/PTSD diagnoses and a better understanding of how my brain works. It’s been a huge help to then be able to get the accommodations I need to function at work.

I feel this SO much! I got lucky that I was able to find a) a psychologist in my area that did adult ADHD/ASD analyses, b) knew specifically what to look for in female patients, and c) was covered by my insurance (albeit with a decent copay).
