@annavidot.bsky.social thank you for not sounding happy about the @wgtnphoenixfc.bsky.social result last night πŸ₯Ί (the commentators sounded jubilant)

Transport Canberra spokesperson sounded a bit begrudging when (asked about whether we could please have a bus to places like the zoo) he said "we do acknowledge that the tourist attractions are popular with, some people".

That would be why they're attractions, I'd think...

Canberra students access free pads, tampons via more school dispensers More than 30 ACT schools will have better access to period products with the expansion of an ACT government pilot program.

So happy to have this in my kids school, with messages sent home like "it's ok to take some for later, or for someone else" and "take what you need, no one is watching, no one is counting " πŸ₯°

Canberra Hospital waiting times are long. Heard a snippet on ABC this morning, and it seems there's a Covid, influenza and RSV inundation. There's a useful app from Canberra Health Services that provides updates to waiting times. Message? Keep well 😷. Hard to believe this is in Australia.

A sulphur crested cockatoo perched on the handrail outside my back door, with head turned to the left.

The same cockatoo, looking to our right this time, with feathers slightly ruffled. It perched on the handrail for several minutes, looking into our kitchen, and was not at all bothered by me taking photos fairly close up (through a glass door).

Hard to figure out where to start from. Current location, perhaps, although it's not where I started? Yours confused me because both Adelaide and Christchurch are a long way east of Slovakia if we look at latitude πŸ˜‚
North & South are more easily defined.

When we lived in the US our neighbourhood rules said we couldn't hang washing outside. Lowers property values apparently.
And the mailbox had to be black and just like everyone else's.
When it rained for 6 wks straight the lawn got long & someone complained to our landlord.

Regular reminder not to tell people something is easy. If the implication you want them to take from saying it’s easy is that they can do it, I suggest you say, β€œI think you can do it”.
